About the Journal

The online journal ‘Grape Insight’ was announced in December, 2023 by the Society for Advancement of Viticulture and Enology and hosted by ICAR-National Research Centre for Grapes, Pune. The journal is published Biannually.

The Society for Advancement of Viticulture and Enology was established in year 2013 and registered on 16th March 2013 under the Society Registration Act 1860. The Society strives to cultivate and promote research, education and development of viticulture and enology in India and abroad.

The aims and objectives of the Society are:

  1. To cultivate and promote research, education and development of viticulture and enology in India and abroad.
  2. To promote ties with other organizations so as to enhance the scope of research and teaching on various aspects of viticulture and enology in India and abroad.
  3. To disseminate knowledge on all aspects of viticulture and enology by holding seminars, symposia conferences, discussion etc. and publishing the proceedings and newsletters.
  4. To promote processed products of grapes with the help of societies, clubs, processing industries, hospitality and other organization.
  5. To secure and manage funds and endowments for the advancement of viticulture and enology.
  6. To undertake other activities relevant to accomplish the above objectives.

Aim and scope of the journal

The journal focuses on reviews, original scientific research articles, perspectives concerning grape improvement, production, protection, enology, post-harvest technology and computer application in viticulture.
